Special Needs Ministry
Our Special Needs Ministry exists to create a safe, loving, and supportive environment where every child can belong, grow, and be supported while families participate in worship and church life. We are honored to partner with parents and guardians to serve children with diverse needs and abilities.

Our goal is to help each child learn about God’s love and the hope found in Jesus while making them feel comfortable, included, and valued.
We believe in the importance of inclusivity for all members of our community, especially children with special needs. We offer limited support during our services and select programs, and we are excited to be growing this vital ministry. Despite our progress, we acknowledge the challenges that growth brings, but we remain steadfast in our mission to serve everyone.
What We Provide:
-
A structured and welcoming environment
-
Trained and screened volunteers
-
Individualized support whenever possible
-
Sensory-aware and flexible approaches
-
A two-volunteer minimum for each special needs child for safety and quality support
Planning Your Visit
To best support your child, we ask families to let us know ahead of time which service or program they plan to attend. Advance notice allows us to schedule the right volunteers and prepare appropriate resources.
We will do our very best to accommodate your requested service time. Participation is based on available volunteers and resources for that day.
Advance scheduling is strongly encouraged to secure a volunteer.
Partnering With Families
Every child is unique. We invite parents and guardians to share helpful information with our team, such as:
-
Comfort strategies
-
Communication preferences
-
Sensory needs
-
Behavioral support
-
Medical or allergy information relevant to program hours (Please note we cannot administer any medical care or medications.)
This partnership helps us provide the best possible experience for your child.
Safety First
Your child’s safety and dignity are our highest priorities. Our program follows strict ministry safety standards, including:
-
Two volunteers present with each special needs child
-
Volunteer screening and training
-
Secure check-in and check-out procedures
-
Clear communication with parents/guardians if needs arise
