The devastation is real and the need is great. But our God is greater.

During our recent Sunday service on July 31, Josh Siergey and Pastor Darren shared about the mission put on the hearts of many here at Current. During a trip to Poland and Ukraine, we came to know of these three ministries. We worked alongside their pastors, their families, and saw the huge impact their efforts are making for Jesus. Here at Current, we have a chance to be a part of what God is doing through them.

IMPACT: UKRAINE Update from Josh Siergey, Missions Minister (8/1/22)

Gdansk,
Poland Flats
Goal: $12,000

Some members of our partnering church in Gdansk have opened their homes and rental properties for Ukrainian refugees to live rent-free. Many of these property owners are struggling to maintain this level of generosity in the long-term. Our goal is to cover the expenses of one apartment unit (flat) for one year.

The pastor and his family at our partnering church in Ukraine have been operating a 24/7 refugee evacuation and supply delivery network since the onset of hostilities. They estimate the cost to save a person by removing them from a war-ravaged area and bringing them to Poland to be $108. Our goal is to finance the extraction of 100 people seeking sanctuary.

Poland Countryside Orphanage
Goal: $3,500

Retired social worker, Merek, and his wife have been operating their self-funded orphanage as a refugee center since the war began. They have joyfully spent nearly all of their retirement savings to fund the stay of 50-60 refugees in their facility. We aim to help them with one month of energy costs.
