CIY Move - Beach Week
(This Trip is 92% Full)
Located at the South Padre Island Convention Center, MOVE provides an amazing program for our high school students every summer. Students are challenged through intense, interactive worship, dynamic preaching, small group study and community building. Students at MOVE not only learn and worship together – they spend quality time with their church youth groups, discovering ways that God will use them to impact the world.
If you are a soon-to-be 9th grader (currently in 8th grade) through graduating senior, you are eligible for this trip.
Only a limited number of spots are available due to transportation. To ensure your spot, register now and pay your $50 deposit.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What do sleeping arrangements look like?
We will be staying at the La Quinta South Padre Island. The rooms will be divided between guys and girls with an adult of the same gender in each room. Adults and students will not share beds.
2. What kind of supervision will there be?
As per our policy, we will have approximately a 1 to 5 ratio of adults to students. One adult will be in charge of supervising over each hotel room, and each student's small group leader will ensure all the students in their group are present at each session. We will also confine students to one area with our adults during our time on the beach.
4. How do you keep track of students?
During this trip, students do have some freedom. We will communicate the expectations at the beginning of the trip, as well as the consequences for not following those expectations. However, each student's small group leader will be checking in on students multiple times per day.
5. What does the registration cost cover?
The cost covers registration, transportation, housing, and meals during the week at MOVE. Students will need to bring extra money for two fast food meals during the drive there and back. Also, students will want to bring spending money if they want to purchase anything at the MOVE store.
6. What type of transportation do you use?
We will travel in a charter bus driven by a professional, certified driver
7. When is departure?
Students should arrive in the Source on Monday, July 2 at 7:00am
8. When will students return?
Students will return Friday night, July 6, at approx midnight. We will have students contact parents when we are 1 hour away
9. How do you determine rooming assignments?
As we get closer to departure, students will have the ability to sign up for roommates. There will be approximately 4 students in each room. Students are guaranteed to be roomed with the person they sign up for. Students can also request which other pair of roommates they would like to be placed with, but we cannot guarantee we will be able to make that happen for everyone. If you don't know who to room with, don't sweat it, we will help you find someone.
10. What do students need to bring?

11. Do I have to pay the entire cost upfront?
No. A $50 deposit is required upon registration. After you register, you may make payments as you are able by going back to the original registration link and signing in. The total cost must be paid before we depart.
12. What are the rules at Beach Week?
Read over the guidelines for MOVE: Beach Week here
13. What about cell phones?
Cell phones are permitted on the trip. We will let students know when they can use them, and when they should be put away.
14. What about food?
We will stop for lunch at a fast food location on the way there, and dinner on the way back. Students will need to bring extra money for these meals. During the week, breakfast will be provided at the hotel, and lunch/dinner will be provided at the convention center. MOVE will have each of these meals catered.
15. What is my student learning about?
16. Are scholarships available?
We never want money to be the only reason a student cannot attend one of our summer trips. Thanks to many generous members at Current, we are able to provide either a $100 or $200 scholarship to some students, depending on need. There are some requirements in order to receive a scholarship. You can view those requirements, and apply for one of those scholarship here
