As you connect to Jesus in praise and worship, it is our desire that you will grow in your Christian faith by also connecting to other people through group involvement.
In the original, first-century church (check out the book of Acts!), Christ-followers met at various times in various places. Though we are blessed to meet regularly at our own church building, at Current we acknowledge the true church is not a building but rather the people of God gathered anywhere and everywhere. Our desire is to be an authentic New Testament church moving forward with a focus on building groups. By helping people grow in their understanding of God's Word and adopting a Christ-centered lifestyle, we want to maximize use of the church building while drawing people together in home and community-based groups.
The rapidly-growing Current church is increasingly made up of young families, requiring prioritization of children and students in our use of the church building. This results in limited Sunday morning space for adults, so most adult Bible studies and discipleship growth at Current takes place in non-Sunday morning settings such as home-based Life Groups, church-based men’s and women’s Bible studies, and support groups.
