Churches were increasingly beingasked by long time residents as well as newcomers to provide food and emergency financial resources. In 1984 Katy Christian Ministries was formed to meet the needs of the community in the name of Christ. Today 35 area churches partner in this effort. KCM is located at 5011 E. 5th Street in Katy.
